VICE DISTRICT GOVERNOR
KENT KINDRED’S HOME PAGE

Lion Kent Kindred is currently serving as Vice District
Governor of 39E for the year 2008-2009.
Lion Kent joined the Pocatello Lions Club in 1977 and
transferred his membership to the Preston Idaho Lions Club in 1978.
During the time Lion Kent has been a member of the Preston Lions Club, he
has served as club president two different times; the last being in the
year 2005-2006. He has been a member of the Club’s board of
directors, tail twister, and lion tamer, and is currently serving as Club
treasurer. He has also served on district 39E’s cabinet as a
zone chairman three different times and has served as a trustee on the
Idaho/Eastern Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation.
Lion Kent was born in Payson,
Utah and grew up in Springville, Utah.
He graduated from Springville High School and then attended Brigham Young
University where he
graduated with a BS degree in Political Science and Business in 1968.
He served a two year mission to Scotland
for the LDS Church from 1962-1964. He
started his banking career with Seattle First National Bank in Seattle, Washington
and then joined First Security Bank in 1971 where he was employed for the
next 33 years.
Lion Kent has been President of the Provo,
Utah Exchange Club, a member of the Cedar
City, Utah Kiwanis Club, and a member of Toastmasters International in Seattle, Washington.
He has also served as President of the Preston,
Idaho Chamber of Commerce, and is currently serving as treasurer of the
Franklin County, Idaho Republican Committee, and on the board of directors
of the Franklin County Senior Citizens.
Lion Kent has been marred to his wife, Janice, for the
past 42 years and they are the parents of 8 children and have 20
grandchildren.
