     Since 1997, the officers of the International Association of Lions Clubs includes President, Immediate Past President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, 33 Directors, The District Governors, Executive Administrator, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Our Emblem

We Serve Image of Lions Club

     Symbolically, the lions face both the past and the future - “Proud of the past and confident of the future”. A gold letter “L” on circular blue field. Bordered by a circular gold area with two lion profiles facing away from the center. The words “LIONS” appears at the top and “INTERNATIONAL” at the bottom.

The Official Colors of Lions

     The royal colors of purple and gold were selected as the official colors when the Association was organized in 1917. To Lions, purple represents loyalty to country, friends, to one’s self and to the integrity of mind and heart. It is the color of strength, courage and dedication to cause. Gold symbolizes sincerity of purpose, liberality in judgement, purity in life and generosity in mind, heart and commitment to mankind.

The Lion Magazine

     The official magazine of Lions Clubs International, since 1918. Published in 20 languages. The Lion has 4 functions:

Inform members of official notices

Serve as central reference for service and fund- raising ideas

Supply information about countries and areas where Lions are active, enabling all members to better understand and support international program objectives and to promote worldwide peace and understanding

Present the story of LCI in the best possible manner so that not only Lions, but the casual reader will receive a favorable impression of the association

Lions Clubs International Foundation

     Created in 1968, LCIF grants millions of dollars each year to provide worldwide humanitarian assistance. SightFirst, Lions major initiative, puts projects in place that enhance existing eye care and vision services or establish new services where none exist. LCIF honors donors with a variety of awards and forms of recognition. The highest form of recognition is the Melvin Jones Fellowship.

Sight conservation and work with the visually impaired

Hearing conservation and work with the hearing impaired

Citizenship, educational, health and social services

Youth programs including drug education and prevention, community outreach and volunteer programs (Lions-Quest and Leo Clubs)

Diabetes detection and research

Work for international cooperation and understanding, including international youth camps, youth exchange programs and Lions Peace Poster Contest
